Looking for a relaxing, creative outlet? Want to finally learn how to use some tools or just fancy making something with your hands?

Welcome to The Door Stop Club – a biweekly DT (Design & Technology) club for ladies who want to enjoy the simple joy of making. Come for one session or make it a biweekly ritual – it’s totally up to you!

Make a door stop… or don’t! The “door stop” is just a starting point – a practical, achievable project to learn with. You can stick with that, make a whole series as gifts or branch off and make something else entirely. Got your own project idea? Once you’ve learned the basics, bring it along!

Start with a door stop, end up with a hobby!

New to the studio?

Everyone must attend a short Studio Intro Session on their first visit to get familiar with the space, equipment, and safety guidelines. After that, you’re free to book sessions and get straight to work.

Equipment Available

The studio has a range of equipment which can be used during your studio time, such as:

• Hand tools for woodworking,

• Lanisher (sanding disk & belt), 

• Bench drill press

• Scroll saw, 

• Spray paint booth

• Cricut Maker 3, 

• Snapmaker U1 (multicolour 3D printer),

• XTool laser cutter, 

• Pyrography (wood burning) kits,

• Plus more.

 

Need access to the laser cutter, 3D printer or Cricut?

These specialist tools are available by request and must be booked when you sign up for your session to ensure availability and support.

 

Spaces are limited to keep things comfortable and ensure access to equipment—so booking in advance is essential.
