ABOUT US

This is my Dad and I. Some of my favourite childhood memories are from our time in the garden shed—surrounded by the smell of sawdust, the sound of tools, and the joy of making things together. We’d spend hours tinkering with wood, building whatever came to mind, and it was always pure magic.

 

As I got older, that love for designing and making never left me. In my teens, I was lucky enough to have a brilliant DT teacher who truly inspired me - and that’s when I knew I wanted to pass on that same spark and become a DT teacher myself.

I’ve been teaching Design & Technology for over 25 years, and I still absolutely love it! I’ve been lucky enough to work with students from Early Years right through to A-Level and also adults.  There’s nothing quite like seeing someone light up when they create something they’re proud of - no matter how old!

 

I get such a buzz from designing new projects and watching ideas come to life in the workshop. When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me making things myself—I love getting stuck into creative projects and often make bits and pieces to sell too. DT is definitely more than just a job for me… it’s a passion!
